Upon acceptance of a manuscript in JBESED, authors are required to grant the journal the right of first publication. However, authors retain full intellectual property rights over their work.

Copyright of all published articles remains with the authors unless otherwise specified in a written agreement. JBESED does not claim exclusive ownership of published content.

1.1 Licensing Terms (CC BY 4.0)

All articles published in JBESED are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license permits users to:

• Share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format)
• Adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use)

Provided that the following conditions are met:

• Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and JBESED
• A link to the CC BY 4.0 license is provided
• Any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated

1.2 Author Rights

JBESED recognises and protects the rights of authors. Authors retain the following rights:

• The right to be identified as the original author(s) of the work
• The right to reuse their published material in future works (including books, lectures, and derivative research)
• The right to distribute their work on personal websites, institutional repositories, and non-commercial platforms
• The right to deposit preprints and accepted manuscripts in institutional or subject-based repositories without embargo

Authors are encouraged to acknowledge JBESED as the original place of publication when reusing or sharing their work.

1.3 Self-Archiving Policy

JBESED supports open access dissemination and permits self-archiving under the following conditions:

• Preprint (before peer review): May be shared freely on any repository or platform
• Accepted manuscript (post-peer review, before typesetting): May be deposited in institutional or subject repositories immediately upon acceptance
• Published version (Version of Record): May be shared with proper citation and license attribution under CC BY 4.0

Authors must ensure that any archived version includes a citation to the final published article in JBESED.

1.4 Transparency and Compliance

Authors must confirm during submission that:

• They have read and understood the journal’s copyright and licensing policy
• They agree to publish under CC BY 4.0 terms
• They have the right to grant the above permissions for all content (including images, tables, and supplementary materials)

Failure to comply with these policies may result in rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.
